This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help my students to become enriched with literacy!
I work as a Kindergarten teacher in a Title 1 school. Most of my students have qualified for free and reduced lunch. Many of my students are English Language Learners that have had limited exposure to basic literacy skills in English as well as their native language.
Learning basic literacy skills is essential for students to be successful in school and in life. My students are working very hard to obtain these basic literacy skills needed but have limited resources to do so.
Students need a variety of resources to help engage and ensure they learn their basic literacy skills. While I have created some literacy centers for my students, I am not able to provide centers for all basic literacy needs.
The materials I am asking for are literacy centers to help enforce beginning, middle and ending sounds. At this point of the year, my students are learning how to isolate sounds in a word and also to spell words. These centers will provide my students engaging opportunities to obtain the literacy skills needed to spell, read and write words.
By providing these literacy centers, you will ensure my students a more engaging literacy center that they will love to use and will learn from everyday.
