Help me give my students supplies for literacy centers. Some students can be using the Wireless Classroom Headphones Set, while others are working on picture sequencing, while still others are working on elaborating on simple sentences!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all immigrant students who have moved to the country relatively recently. They are learning English on a sheltered team so that they can successfully integrate into mainstream classes with their peers in the years to come.
These kids are some of the most motivated, hard-working students I've ever met!
They want to learn and do well because they know that they've been given an opportunity that others haven't. They always strive to do their best, in addition to supporting one another.
Because of the outside responsibilities of many of our students, we experience quite a bit of chronic absenteeism and a higher than average dropout rate. Many *want* to be in school, but need to work to help contribute to their families. They need help in order to be a kid.
My Project
I teach students who have recently arrived to the United States. Some are completely literate in their first language and can easily transfer their existing reading and writing skills to English. Others come to us with very little literacy and I must start from the beginning. Therefore, there is often a variety of skills and abilities in my room. Work that is appropriate for one student is not appropriate for another.
In order to be successful, I must meet each student where they are.
If I give one student something that is too easy, he or she will be bored and not be working up to his/her potential. If I give a student something that is too hard, the student will become frustrated, shut down and not make any gains. These supplies will allow me to create leveled literacy groups that can all be conducted an appropriate level. By having materials such as picture sequencing kits and comprehension kits, students can be working on activities at different levels while I provide focused instruction to small groups. The headphone station will even allow students to be listening to an audiobook, which will activate a second level of comprehension!
