Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kids learn best when they can explore and it also helps if they are interested and engaged.

My students are amazing!

They are so eager to learn and love hands on activities! We are a Title One district in a low-economic neighborhood. Many of my students are English Language Learners and still developing the skills needed to speak and understand the English language.

My Project

I am requesting literacy bags that feature the stories Rosie's Walk, I Went Walking, Gregory the Terrible Eater, The Day of the Dead, and Little Rabbit. The literacy bags each contain child size objects that represent elements of the story , a copy of the book, and an activity guide all safely stored in a drawstring bag. The themed bags will provide a unique and fun way of promoting literacy at school. My students will love the excellent literature, and they will be so excited to practice their reading and writing skills with the hands on resource that the bags will provide.

My kindergarten students love school, they love writing, they love recess, but most of all they love sitting on the carpet and being read to.

They will love the collection of literacy bags they will absolutely enjoy having the chance to touch and feel the objects that go with the theme. Please help improve our story time collection with some amazing resources.
