This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Some of my students know how to read and have small math concepts but by the end of the year I want them to be confident readers and mathematicians.
I have a really diverse group of students some come in class each day eager to learn.
Then you have others that need a little push to be excited about school. When you show the students how well they can do they can be proud of themselves with a little encouragement.
My Project
I will use the leveled books for guided reading wit the students each day in small groups. I will use the math file folder games while the students are doing center time and i am working with students. The listening center will be good for the children to learn concepts of print and gain confidence in reading. The ink pads will be used for projects with their hand prints that will be given to parents.
My project will improve students reading levels and math skills .As we all know reading and math are really big components in the students education and in their future.
Kindergarten is a very huge part of a child's learning. So we must start teaching them early about reading and math so they can transition into other grades in the future with no problems
