My students need a pocket chart stand, an easel pad, pattern blocks, and privacy partitions that allow them to interact in independent center times. My students also need the resources in the classroom to learn their sight words, letters, and make sentences.

Hello, my name is Ms. G. This is my second year teaching kindergarten and I am loving it! My students are from a low-income area and I have a very diverse group of students! Every student is unique in their own way. The students work very hard daily. I have 21 students and the majority of the students are English language learners. The students are eager to learn each day, which is why it is so important to provide resources for them to use.
My Project
The supplies that are asked for will help the students when interacting in the independent center times. The pocket chart will be used for the students to create sentences with their sight words. The post-it pads are used to model work on the board, as well as, creating anchor charts for the classroom. When completing a project, the post-it pads are used to write down the students' ideas and answers. The pattern blocks and pattern block templates are used for the math centers, during this time the students are able to work with a partner or independently to complete the task. This will help students recognize shapes and count how many shapes there are. The testing dividers will help when students are completing the assessments. The students will have privacy and this will help with students copying other students. My classroom has limited space, therefore, I am unable to move the students away from each other.
