My Students

I have a wonderful diverse group of kindergartners that are ready for learning through many engaging ways. I believe every child deserves an opportunity for an equal and excellent education. I am proud to partner with my school, fellow educators, and parents to strive toward this goal.

I teach in a high poverty school zone in which the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My amazing kinders need additional support because most of them come from low-income single family households, of which many have little to no support or resources. Despite the challenges they face in and around their environment, my students come to school excited, full of life, and eager to learn. I look forward to coming to school and learning from them as they teach me something new as well. They put a smile on my face every morning they walk in the door.

My Project

These materials will help my students while learning at home. We are back in the classroom, but learning at home is crucial to student success at all times. When students have materials to learn at home, they can better understand what they are learning in the classroom through additional practice. Putting materials in the hands of my students is a huge goal of mine. I would love for my students to experience bringing materials into their home lives and demonstrating to their families what they are learning in the classroom.
