My Students

This year, I transferred to a school that is new to me. Because of the pandemic, I have not gotten a chance to meet all of my students in person. We have developed relationships through our technology and have learned so much about each other already. We are a classroom family.

In the short time we have been together, my students have shown me how hard working and eager to learn they are.

Every morning, I look forward to seeing their faces and learning something new about each one of them. Virtual learning is not ideal, but the resilient students who make up my class, are pretty awesome!

My Project

I would like to provide my students with novels to begin literature circles and book studies in my fourth grade class. Novels provide so many ways for students to learn. Not only are students practicing fluency when reading, but also skills like inferencing, problem solving, and character development.

Having multiple copies of the novels in my project will allow students the opportunity to talk with their peers about what they read.

Students will also be given an opportunity to improve their reading comprehension skills and build classroom community by participating in the discussions.
