Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are faced with oppositional situations at home on a daily basis but remain motivated and try their best to learn, despite the many obstacles they face each day. It is hard for students to concentrate and absorb important information when there are so many computers playing without headphones. Students learn at different paces and it is important that they can focus on their individual level of information without constant disruptions of noise.
My students are hard-working and enthusiastic about their education.
They deserve every tool and supply to help them along the way. I want to be able to give them a positive environment in which to learn and grow socially and emotionally while meeting their educational needs.
My Project
Students work on different assignments and levels at any given time. Students need to be able to listen to instructional videos and information without disturbing others and at a comfortable hearing level. Since the majority of students are from low income households it has been difficult for them to purchase headphones to bring to school. Having a class set will ensure that every student can succeed and no one is left behind.
Students are eager to learn as much as possible in an effort to prepare for high school next year.
Students are regularly requesting headphones that I am not able to supply. Having these headphones would be a great accomplishment to assist students in lowering frustrations from not being able to hear academic information during self-directed Learning sessions.
