My middle school students need personal headphones with microphones to utilize reading software we have in our classroom.

New software is remediating students' reading difficulties based on their individual needs and growth patterns! When middle school students continue to struggle with basic reading skills, they are VERY reluctant to take the steps necessary to help fix their individual problems. No 7th grade student wants to read "baby" books to build their reading skills. This is where the new software our district purchased is showing great promise for our struggling readers. No one else in the class knows what individual students are working on, and they are free to work on the skills they need for their own improvement. The software tracks their progress and shows them how much they have gained. The students actually like using the software and like seeing how much progress they are making. But, we don't have the right headphones with microphones needed to fully utilize every aspect of the software. Your help will make it possible for my students to improve their reading skills, taking them closer and closer to being able to read grade-level texts. There is nothing better than watching a student realize they CAN do something on their own. This software and the headphone/microphones will help them toward achieving their goals.
