My students need an iPod to be able to listen to reading during our center time.

My Students

My class of Kindergarteners is full of children that soak up knowledge like sponges. The students are very eager to learn as much as they can about every topic we cover.

Each student comes from a different background, which makes learning a challenge for some of them.

Many of them live in single parent households or are taken care of by grandparents.

We have a variety of abilities and needs as well. Each child deserves a chance to flourish and to be told that they can do anything they put their minds to.

My Project

My students will use this iPod to listen to stories. To become better readers, you need to listen to fluent readers read books. A lot of the students in my room do not have people that will read with them outside of school. By having this iPod, they can get more out of our center time.

I plan to use the iPod to give my students a chance to hear stories read by more than just their teacher.

They will be sharing the device , but reading their own copies of the same book. I am excited to get them more excited about reading!
