My students need audio books to help make them successful readers. My students love The Magic Tree House Series and will be so excited to be able to listen as they read.

My Students

One of the most important aspects of a classroom that uses The Daily 5 is the "Listen to Reading" category. We would like to have some chapter books in our audio collection to make us successful, independent readers. The listening station is very important for readers who struggle with fluency.

My students are avid readers who love a new challenge.

They work hard to read each and every night to improve their reading skills. Our school is nestled in a college town. We have a very diverse group of learners. We have a wonderful group of teachers and parents who support this school.

My Project

My students will use these audio chapter books as a Daily 5 station. They will hook up their headphones and sit with a buddy while they listen and read along to the CD. This will be a year log station for my class. Listening to books is a wonderful way to improve fluency.

Children in my classes over the years have struggled greatly with fluency.

They tend to sound like robots when they read. We want them to sound like actors in a play with beautiful voice intonation and expression.
