Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am fortunate enough to teach 24 loving and enthusiastic third graders at a Title I, IB PYP school in Annapolis, MD. GES has a large population of Spanish speaking students, as well as a large number of military families. While eager and excited to grow as learners, it is not always possible for them to experience the world around them. Because of this, I have made it my goal to help my students experience as much as of the world as possible from within my classroom.
My students are constantly inquiring and collaborating with one another in order to explore new concepts and ideas.
It is my hope that my students leave each day with a sense of pride in exploring new concepts. I want to give my students any and all the tools they may need to successfully communicate their thinking and understanding of concepts in and out of the classroom.
My Project
I have 24 eager and enthusiastic learners in my class this year! They are excited to learn and collaborate with one another; however, they are at a variety of different learning levels. With a high number of Special Education students and English Language Learners, technology has allowed me to differentiate my instruction to suit the diverse learning needs.
Having earbuds for my students to use with the Chromebooks will allow me to give students differentiated learning experiences that will enhance their learning.
The earbuds will be extremely helpful in assisting my students with listening to tasks/ programs I assign them. Earbuds will allow students to focus on what they are learning on their computer. It will give my students the ability to listen to books, videos, and instructions. The earphones I selected are easy to use, lightweight and small enough that the students will be able to keep them in their pencil boxes.
