My Students

Our school is unique because it serves students with emotional and behavioral needs. The amazing team here helps assist students in learning and growing both academically and emotionally. My third-sixth graders are amazing, hard-working students that at times need a new way to engage in learning.

They enjoy finding new ways to learn and using a CD player with a headset where they can listen not only to academics but take a break and escape into a good book would be so fun for them.

My Project

These materials will assist students in reading and comprehension skills that are not only valuable in the classroom but in life.

Our program serves students with severe emotional and behavioral needs so for some, sitting in a classroom and having to read on their own, can be challenging,

giving the opportunity to listen to books on CD's while following along will not only engage the students in learning but help grow their vocabulary skills as well.

This skill will of course help instill the joy of reading not only at school but at home.
