Listening Helps Us Learn to Love Reading

Help me give my students a new CD/Bluetooth player for our Listening Center, so my kiddos can listen to their favorite stories being read aloud.

My Students

I teach Transitional First grade in a small rural town, in southeast Arizona. Transition First is an intervention class for sixteen awesome kiddos who need a little extra support to become strong and solid students. They come to me deficient in one or more subject area. Although learning can be a challenge, they are eager to learn and succeed.

My students are lively and energetic.

They love to sing, dance, wiggle, and move. We do our best to provide an environment that allows movement and caters to each individual learning style.

We also love to play while we learn, using games and activities that engage our students in the educational process.

All of my students are amazing and deserve the very best opportunity to learn and grow!

My Project

My students love listening to their favorite books being read aloud. In our classroom, we have a Listening Center where our students listen to their favorite books independently. We need a new CD player to replace our well used, very tired, old one.

This CD/ cassette player will allow them to read along and listen to fluent readers while strengthening their own reading skills.

It is Bluetooth compatible which allows us to stream online books, or play music.

When children hear books read fluently it stimulates their imagination, as well as, helps develop their own fluency and comprehension skills.

This CD/ Bluetooth/cassette player will make the perfect addition to our comfy listening center.
