Help me give my students a ready-to-go listening center and the phonics and phonemic awareness activity kits to build phonemic awareness and phonics skills which are the foundations of becoming a fluent reader.

My Students

My students are second graders who love to read, write, and create. They are artists and engineers, mathematicians and leaders. Students in my class love to work with hands on materials and enjoy working on STEAM projects.

What I love about my students is that they are curious about learning new things and use questioning and wondering in class every day.

My students are kindhearted, unique, inventive, and persistent. I have a great group of second graders.

My Project

Students in grades kindergarten through second grade are mastering phonological awareness and phonics skills to become a fluent reader. The materials I am asking for would aid in students mastery of the skills as well as give the ability to differentiate to all student's needs.

By having a listening center in my classroom, students can learn in a small group setting with their peers on differentiated levels while reinforcing previous skills taught with the teacher.

The listening center would provide support for all students and would meet them at their independent reading level. In addition to the products listed I would also be able to use the listening center for my fluent readers by purchasing audio books for students to read together in a literature circle.
