My students live in Progreso, TX. It is a small city with population less than 6000 with 99.4% being economically disadvantage and 61.9% at risk students. Most of the students that attend my class have a low economic background. They continue to thrive and push themselves to receive the education needed to succeed. My students would benefit from receiving additional resources!
Despite the odds, my students come to school everyday with a big smile on their faces and ready to learn.
My Project
This listening center will help my students expand their knowledge and listening skills on a daily basis. Students will be able to use their listening skills to hear phonological letters, words, and stories.
My students enjoy working in centers in the classroom, and this listening center will be great for the students to continue to grow and build on their knowledge.
The students I teach might only be exposed to the technology we have in our classroom because they do not have the resources available at home. I want to be able to provide these resources for my students in order for them to be exposed to different forms of learning strategies.
