Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the sweetest children that deserve the best education possible. They struggle daily with reading and reading comprehension. By using books and cd's together at their individual level my students will learn how to read and be able to comprehend the text.
In order to help my students become successful readers, I have implemented small group reading instruction in my classroom on a daily basis.
The students are placed in small, flexible groups of no more than five students based on their reading levels. In these groups, the students receive extra instruction tailored to their exact needs. I have students at so many different levels yet I don't have the necessary materials needs to meet all the different learning needs. Students will benefit so much when they have different ways to explore reading.
My Project
I would like to inspire the children in my classroom to dream big! I make reading both an important and a fun part of every day so that they can learn how to explore the endless possibilities that surround them. It is my dream to help all the children in my current and future classrooms become successful readers so that they can lead successful and fulfilling lives.
Please help my students become both dreamers and readers.
These beautiful children in my classroom deserve to have the resources to be able to experience the tailored instruction necessary to help them succeed. Please give my students the opportunity to read at their level.
