My students need 6 portable cassette players and a class set of headphones to listen to a wide variety of books on tape in our classroom.

My Students

Every day my students come into our classroom ready and excited to learn. They are eager and come in with the best attitude they can ready to learn about how they can help make our world a better place.

I teach in a Title I school where many of my students are limited with what materials they have to learn with.

All of my students want to learn and want to better themselves, but this is challenging when they are limited in what resources are available to them. These students are our future, they want to reach their full potential, and I want to help them do this.

My Project

Having portable cassette players and a pair of headphones for every student in the classroom will help support my students be on track with their reading. We have many books on tape in our room that we are not able to use because we do not have the adequate supplies to use them.

Being able to listen to books being read to them on tape during independent work time will help my students grow immensely in their reading.

Having a listening center in my room will help to boost my students' engagement during independent work time, foster a love of reading in my classroom, and increase my students' vocabulary.
