My Students

I have 17 fun loving, energetic Kindergarten students. They are so eager to learn and love reading. My students are beginning to develop their reading and literacy skills and are all on varied reading levels. This center will help all my students grow and become better readers. Read aloud time is a favorite time for all students in my classroom; sadly, many of my students do not have the literacy resources and support at home. I can't wait to see this center being used in my classroom!

My Project

This listening center will be a great addition to my classroom! Students will have a fun educational center to go to when they are finished with work, while encouraging independent reading. My students are just beginning to read, and they have not developed the skills needed for independent reading. A listening center would allow students to follow along, while listening to a fluent reader.

We need a CD player with headphones and grade level books to get my center started and students reading.

This will provide me with a great start, and I can gradually add to my audio library.
