My students are full of life and energy. They are wanting to learn so much. They make me laugh. They are still at the play stage and need some help to get some energy out while they are learning.
They need to move around but not around the room just in their seat so we can learn together and not distract others.
They tend to wander around the room. I have tried some different seating and this has helped a lot. They are arguing about who gets the seating I have now and we need more.
It is like using differentiate learning in the classroom because the kids are not cookie cutters. They are all different and need to learn differently, which also goes into using different seating. Some like chairs, some like pillows, and some like scoop chairs.
My Project
The benefit of this will help my students be able to read where they are comfortable. They also will be able listen to books on tape. This is especially helpful for the nonreaders to follow along.
They are sweet active learners that need a variety of seating options and the rocking chairs and sofa will help them be able to do that.
They will learn better in a seat that they are comfortable with and are more focused.
The listening center is a place for the students to just listen and have the aha moments. They are learning new words everyday and making it more accessible makes them more successful.
