Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a very diverse 3rd grade classroom. My students go to a Title I school and come from low socioeconomic families, which means that not all supplies are accessible to them. I have students that not only come from all walks of life, but also from many parts of the United States. I have quite a few ELL learners, ESS learners and a diverse set of individual learners. My class is full of laughter, love, responsibility, self respect, discipline, and most of all acceptance. Being a teacher, I have found how amazing it is not only because of what I teach my class but what they teach me each and every day.
My Project
Students in my class utilize chrome books 75% of the time. They use them for DAZE testing, google classroom, iReady, STAR testing, Common Lit, and to practice for state testing. In order for them to be successful, they need headphones to hear the instructions and to complete the tasks given to them. Not only do they need to be capable of listening, they also need to be able to print out their data to go in their folders. Data would include DAZE/DIBELS scores, Zearn math work, fluency practice passages, and take home projects. Please help my students become all they can be with a new set of headphones and an in class printer!
