Our school is a neighborhood school serving approximately 800 students. Our students are from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. Our students are motivated to learn and look forward to coming to school every day. We also have a very experienced and loyal staff who care for our students and create a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
We are excited about the growth our students have made over the past ten years in reading since implementing Reader's and Writer's Workshop.
We want to continue to maximize their learning and need a few supplies to help do this.
My Project
The headphones will help the students listen and learn independently. Some students purchase earbuds multiple times during the years or do not have earbuds to participate in activities during the school year unless provided by the teacher. Having a class set will give the students a peace of mind and they will have less to worry about when it's time to use technology in the classroom. It will also help teach the students how to be responsible and take care of classroom materials. My school is a Title 1 school and having the headphones for each students will be very appreciated because this is one less item to place on the supply list each year! Please help my students with the purchase of these headphones in order for everyone to feel as if they can fully participate in classroom activities. Thank you!
