Hello and Welcome to my page! I teach kindergarten in a Title I school. Academic demands have increased drastically in kindergarten over the last 5 years. Students are expected to read and write plus perform simple math problems before leaving kindergarten. For many of my students this is a difficult task as they are coming to school with limited exposure to early literacy skills. Many students in my class have limited English and Most come in not knowing their alphabet or sounds. In order to get them where they need to be sometimes they are expected to complete 1.5 to 2 years growth in one year.
My Project
I am asking for half of a class set of quality microphones that are compatible with the Ipad and also with the small shape of young children.
These headphones will help students focus on their learning of letters and sounds, questions on their assessments, listening to books read aloud to them, learning the English language and developing early literacy skills.
This will provide for quiet focus of students not in groups while the teachers pull various groups to teach skills on their level. If everyone is focused everyone is learning. Please help us receive quality headphones. Thank you for your support.
