My students need headphones in order to create media that display the environment that surrounds us and stresses the importance of protecting planet Earth.
My students come from very diverse backgrounds, literally from all over the world. It is amazing to see how our children from Thailand, Ethiopia, Jamaica, and other far-away places come together and work, building each other up.
We are proud to be Puma PROS (Professional, Responsible, Organized, and Safe).
We are a Title I school so some of our students do not have the same advantages others do. The more our school can provide, the greater opportunities the students are given.
My Project
My students are amazing individuals and technology is all they can talk about. We are lucky enough to have a set of computers that we can check out and use this year. These computers have changed the way my students learn in my photography and journalism class. Online activities, videos, school commercials, and storybook creations are just a few projects we have worked on.
My students are excited about expanding their technological knowledge, but some activities are difficult to complete without headphones.
When we are working on an online activity that requires sound my classroom turns chaotic. There is noise EVERYWHERE. My students would be able to participate in numerous other activities with headphones to help them concentrate on their own projects.
Protecting our planet is a project that is extremely important. Students need to understand that our planet is one of kind and needs to be taken care of. Earth can only tolerate so much, but their actions can keep it healthy. We plan on using the headphone to create commercials and news stories for our morning announcements about protecting our environment. Please help motivate and inspire my students!
