Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students I teach are great learners. We have ended our virtual learning for the year and I was pleasantly surprised by the engagement. Throughout our time away, the students were anxious to Zoom with me several times a week. I tried to provide the connection we shared in the classroom virtually. I have an amazing group of students, and I couldn't be prouder of their efforts during this pandemic.

My Project

During independent learning time, students are engaged with online activities. Students will be working in their Google Classroom and district approved online lessons. These two online platforms are to be worked on independently. The individual class set of headphones I would like funded will enable students to learn and listen without being distracted. The students that are working in a small group with me will also not be distracted from the sounds of the computer. It is my hope that I can increase the focus and time on task by ensuring all students have their own headphones.
