My Students

Each student is unique in their own way. In my classroom, I encourage my students to create, present, and work together as a team! I want my classroom to be a place where they can comfortably learn in a safe and exciting environment.

My sixth-grade​ classroom is comprised of 50 hard-working students, many of whom come from a variety of different backgrounds.

They come from all areas of town, mostly from an urban setting. This group is extremely diverse in their special learning needs, abilities, and talents. This year, our entire district receives free lunch. Unfortunately, funding is extremely limited and gaining access to resources can be challenging.

My Project

These earbuds would make a huge difference in our classroom! The earbuds would give my students the ability to use technology throughout the school day, and give them a sense of ownership with each child having their own unique pair to use.

Listening to the key to learning!

With these earbuds, each student in both of my classes will have their own small pair of earbuds to use as needed. These will be used for our listening to reading station as part of our Daily 5 learning. Students will also be able to listen to videos, review audible books, and explore virtual field trips!
