My Students

My class is one of seven 1st grades in our district. We are in a rural district, but located close to a metropolitan area. Many of the families have chosen to live in our small town, but they work in the city. Our district encompasses three other small towns in the surrounding area, so we have a pretty large district for our area.

Our district has done a great job of keeping up with the demanding needs to supply a quality education to the students.

We have one to one Chromebooks and are keeping up with the Common Core standards by updating our curriculum on a regular basis.

My Project

Since we have one to one Chromebooks, we use them all the time! One of the main times we use them is during reading groups.

Headphones will be a great asset to our room since it will allow students to work on their Chromebooks without disturbing the group!

The headphones we have been using are in pretty bad shape. They don't fit the children's heads properly and therefore aren't staying on well.

These new headphones are designed to fit well and stay in place. That will allow the students to work without worrying about them slipping off. They are also made to be very durable, so they will hold up in a classroom setting. This will provide great headphones to all my students this year and for years to come!
