This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students can use headphones to listen to Playposit videos for Geography. I have found videos online and embedded questions into them so students can watch and listen to their lessons. There is also a literacy program my district uses, called Lexia, which students listen to and interact with on their computer to help strengthen their comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. We would very much benefit from having a class set of headphones so that all students can listen. There are online resources such as WeVideo that allow students to create their own videos and integrate audio into their projects as they relate to class. They can listen to their recorded audio and add music to their work, helping them to create a cleaner, more polished product.

Whether it's watching and listening to Playposit videos, creating their own content on WeVideo, strengthening their literacy skills through Lexia lessons, or helping an ESOL learn English better, a classroom set of headphones would make a world of a difference to my students.
