My Students

My group of second graders is phenomenal! They work hard, put forth their best efforts, and their resiliency after Hurricane Michael is second to none! After the hurricane, our school had to live to a temporary location. All four second grade classes were place in one ballroom of a local conference center and we made it work! Our students did not complain one time. They discovered what it meant to work as a team, flexibility, and that teaching and learning can happen anywhere! It’s not about the building, but about the people.

We have been able to return to our school campus, but we are in portables as the school building is being completely renovated after the Hurricane Michael .

My Project

We have been able to return to our school campus, but we are in portables as the school building is being completely renovated after Hurricane Michael. We lost many of our computers and computer accessories due to the storm. I often use technology during the Reading and Math Blocks which require computers and headphones. Students are divided into groups each day for small group instruction.

Extra practice is given on the skills being taught in class through computer programs assigned.

My second graders would be so appreciative of any donation made. Every little bit of help is a giant step towards our school feeling whole again.
