Help me give my students the gift of headphones. The struggling readers in my class benefit greatly from audible reading support and we are in short supply of headphones.

My Students
I teach in a small rural school with a surprisingly large diversity in reading skill level. The students in my 4 reading classes are between the ages of 9 and 12 and are full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. They love science and history; anything active and hands-on!
The most challenging part of teaching reading is to find time in the school day to just READ.
It is a fact that students who read more, learn more and become proficient readers. My job is to instill in students a love for reading in the hope that they'll become life-long readers.
Since there is a great diversity in reading levels, our classroom needs a wider variety of age-appropriate texts to inspire and encourage the love of reading.
My Project
Our headphones are slowly dying and we don't have enough to offer to the struggling readers. Allowing students to listen and follow along in their text has greatly improved students understanding of difficult content. In grades 5 and 6, the material is significantly more complex and challenging. The struggling readers give a huge sigh of relief when I offer them this reading help.
Auditory support when reading is an excellent way for struggling readers to hear fluent readers and clarify confusing areas of text.
My students need headphones to help hear a story being read as they read along in their book.
I appreciate any help offered to give these students the best education possible.
