My Students

I work in a low income, very diverse school district. Despite facing many hardships, the students come to school every day hungry for knowledge. I tell them all the time that they are smart and worthy of an opportunity. I emphasize how important education is to them on a daily basis.

I try to make their learning experience in my classroom as rich as possible.

I want them to feel valued when they enter my room. It is important to let them know they are in a safe place where they can learn, but also they are where someone genuinely cares about providing them with academic excellence. I also want it to be a source of comfort to them that they have all the materials they need to succeed.

My Project

My students will use these headphones on a daily basis in to fully engage with their interactive computer program. They have an amazing opportunity to gain both reading and technology skills and should not be held back by a lack of resources. My students overcome obstacles in life on a daily basis. I want to remove one for them.

These headphones will not only let them hear; they will allow them to listen to what their future holds for them: An Education.

These headphones will help them gain access to skills they can carry with them for a lifetime. These headphones will help students at this school for years to come.
