This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are caring, bright and hardworking. They also have a thirst for knowledge and love to stay engaged with hands on materials. They always come from single parent house holds and attend a title 1 school with 100% free lunch.

My Project

At my school we do not have a reading center and I feel that my students would benefit greatly from it. I am asking for a learning pack that would help my students learn independently and answer questions that would let them know that they are learning on their own. My students love to learn and have a great thirst for knowledge. This center will help them to become better readers but also work at their own pace and be come independent kindergarten students and future readers who will be awesome future leaders.
