My Students

Third grade is such an exciting time for students. They are becoming more independent, practicing critical thinking skills and learning how to be kind and responsible citizens. My students live in a quaint, rural town and they come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Our community is filled with hardworking families that provide the best they can for their children.

Over half of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and many rely on our school for much needed resources.

Our small school works hard to provide the best education. I love my students and will do anything to help them succeed!

My Project

Our school district is lucky to have one to one technology for all students K-12. We use many different programs in third grade including typing, math, reading and learning how to be responsible and safe online.

In order to make our online programs effective, we need headphones.

We currently ask for earbuds as school supplies at the beginning of the year. Many students' earbuds break immediately or they are too big. At this point, most of our students no longer have headphones. If we get quality headphones, we will no longer ask families to provide these as a part of school supplies.
