My students are a group of students from 7th through 12th grade in English, French, and College and Life Prep. We do a variety of activities in all of my classes using our class Chromebooks. Their activities range from creating videos and audio projects, to reading along with audio resources.
I love incorporating audio and video into our lessons and I believe the best way to harness this is to allow students to pace what they are listening to so it fits their needs.
They enjoy watching videos and listening to audio to help them better understand our lessons. They also do a great job of sharing with their peers when they have the opportunity.
My Project
Ask a student how to learn something new and they will likely include watching a how-to video as part of their response. Audio and video have great power to engage students and reach students when they are learning a variety of subjects, ideas, and how to do new things. My students love having videos and audio to help them when they are learning new information or creating their own projects.
When you have a class of 34 students trying to listen and record at the same time, chaos and distraction can ensue quickly!
Bluetooth headphones will help my students when they are working on learning new materials, practicing pronunciation, watching educational videos, recording their work. Having wireless devices means they will be less likely to deteriorate from handling them regularly. We will use the peg-board hooks and marker to organize our supplies so students have easy and neat access to the resources and they will last longer.
