My students need headphones to help us as we explore different activities on our Chromebooks.

We are a small school within a school district in Pennsylvania.
Many of my students travel a great distance to come to our school, in hopes of gaining a better education than their neighborhood schools, even though many of them suffer with a multitude of issues that plague the city.
I have the privilege of teaching within our middle years academy, which is made up of two 7th grade and two 8th grade homerooms. If given the proper tools and guidance, my students are capable of amazing things. They are creative, intelligent problem solvers. There is no shortage when it comes to expressing themselves, they just need the tools on how to do that in a constructive way. My students are inquisitive risk-takers who, when given a challenge, will not back away. As a teacher, I want to give them that challenge and give them to the world.
Allowing all our students have their own headphones will give us more options to enrich our classroom and our lessons. They would be used within all subjects during the course of the day. In all classes it can help the students watch short videos on the various topics to give them a differentiated instruction, but we will use the headphones for other resources. Within math, they will be used to help with intervention resources. During English, they will be used to listen to an audiobook. Throughout social studies, they will be used to analyze music from a certain timeframe or culture. Lastly, in science, they will be able to conduct interactive e-labs.
Along with the headphones we are asking for bags and storage containers as they will help the students become more responsible of their possessions .
We will be able to label and store their headphones, and that could help to keep them intact and easy to find for a longer span of time. We hope that it could make the students be responsible for the headphones and keep them in good condition if they know how to properly put them away after usage.
