Sometimes your brain needs a break, but you still want to read. Storyworks magazine allows students to read leveled short stories on a monthly basis. Chromebooks help students thrive in our 21st century learning environment.
I have an amazing group of 24 eager learners!
They devour books and love to read! I am trying to encourage them to read shorter stories along with many, many chapter books this year. They LOVE technology and soak up 21st century learning skills and want to learn new programs daily.
My Project
Students will receive 6 issues of StoryWorks magazine. We will use these magazines for short story reading in guided reading groups. StoryWorks magazine have leveled fiction and non-fiction stories for students to read. The Google Chromebooks will help students blog about chapter books and allow them make the stories audible if the students need that assistance. This will also allow

With all testing students are asked to read short stories and respond to the text. This will help them become accustomed to the short story genre. The Chromebooks will provide more computers in the classroom to help continue becoming 21st century learners. Too often students want to type, play MangaHigh, write a blog, or research something only to find the devices we have available to us are already in use.
