My students need to have earbuds to listen to lessons that are out on the Math Envision website, which includes videos also to help them review concepts. The earbuds will be shared among team teachers.
Our students are amazing. They work hard and keep trying, even when faced with challenges like limited resources. Our students, as well as all students, deserve the best we can offer. Our school has a population that is usually receiving about 50.5% free or reduced-price lunch, we strive to make sure all students have an equal opportunity to learn and reach their goals, no matter their socioeconomic status.
I know all students can learn at higher levels and want to make sure all students have the tools/supports they need to succeed.
We develop a community of learners by living our school motto on a daily basis: "Work Hard, Play Fair and Take Care of Each Other."
We stress "Exemplary Learning, No Excuses, No Exceptions!"
My Project
Students need to have earbuds to listen to lessons that are on our new math curriculum website, Envision. It includes videos to enhance student learning of different concepts. Not only does this project provide earbuds but also storage to keep them organized in our classroom. Each team now has their own Chromebook cart so these will also be shared with the team teachers when students work on projects outside of my classroom. They will be assigned a number and through that will be responsible for their set of earbuds. This will allow for us to move together as a class and not have to slow down due to having to share materials. The label maker will be used to label the earbuds to help keep things organized for the students.
The Drawer Storage and Organizer will help keep materials organized so students do not waste time trying to find materials for classroom use.
In Science students complete a PSA (public service announcement) so they need headphones with microphones for the project. Students will be so excited to know exactly where to find needed materials. These supplies would also be used for after school services that are offered three days a week.
