My Students

My classroom is full of busy, hardworking, and eager to learn students. They work in small groups and in pairs during small group instruction in either Reading or Math. They help one another in order that no one is left behind with activities.

Our school is located in a community where unemployment is very high.

Most of my students have parents who were laid off from work. Being in school is the best thing for each of my students. They know that education will make them successful in life.

My Project

My students have to be successful with all the programs that have been purchased by our district. My classroom is already equipped with a couple of computers and some laptops that the students can use. We have enough for every rotation during our small group instruction. Unfortunately, we do not have head phones with microphones. The students need to listen then talk and record to respond to what they listen to. Students can listen to new vocabulary words and stories. They also have to read these words and stories on their own.

Headphones with microphone will make my students more independent, engaged and focus in their work .

They will be busy working and self correcting themselves. There will be no time to interrupt and disturb anybody.
