This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a diverse population. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging technology and learn better kinetically! They come to school each day ready to learn new things and excited to grow socially and academically.

Each of them has the potential to be the best that he or she can be.

As educators, it is our responsibility to meet our students where they are and elevate them to the next level.

My Project

Currently we don’t have a listening center so the students don’t have a chance to explore this type of hands on reading. Which is different from only hearing my voice. We have some cds for music but nothing to play it on. I use music in all subject areas for my class room of four year olds. It is a joy to hear them repeat stories or songs that they have learned in the classroom. I would be very appreciative. Music brings joy through tears, it is an excellent way to transition through the day. My students love to sing.
