Help me give my students a CD cassette player with Bluetooth, listening center headphones, junction cox, and English Language Development Speaking Listening Center.
I am a second-grade teacher in a small town with about 95 percent of the population being Native American. My students and their families qualify for free and reduced lunches. Despite all their daily obstacles they are resilient and strive for any learning opportunity. My students are very hands-on and love to dive right into new and engaging projects.
My students are enthusiastic, creative, and are motivated to explore daily, academic challenges.
I try to expose them to the world around them by introducing them to many classroom projects that allow them to think outside the box. I have purchased many supplies for my students and classroom that encourage them to use their imaginations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My Project
The use of the listening center, will allow my students to listen to a fluent reader while they follow closely along in their books. Having a listening center will help students track the text, help with comprehension, expression and develop reading fluency. The listening center I have chosen can play CDs, tapes, and can be connected via Bluetooth to any mobile device.
Having the Bluetooth technology will allow me to find interactive online stories, music, or a language lesson that my students can explore.
I have spot in my classroom that is both quiet and spacious that will be perfect. The use of the headphones will create a private world between them and whatever they are listening to. They also can be cut off from distractions and focus more easily.
