I teach science classes at an urban high school that is very diverse. These students will choose various pathways after graduation, including finding a career or attending some sort of college.
My students come from low-income families of various backgrounds and often have personal struggles they work very hard to overcome while working on their academic studies.
The students in my classroom include English learners and those struggling with disabilities. Our students require many hands-on activities including lab experiments that allow them to explore new aspects of the science world.
My Project
Help me provide my students with the ability to have a more individualized learning experience. There are many online resources that I would like to incorporate in my classroom to further engage my students in science and connect them to real-world scenarios. My students need headphones that they can check out in order to interact with various science technologies with their Chromebook. Not all of my students can afford to have a pair of headphones/earbuds.
Being able to provide my students with a pair of headphones will help them immerse themselves into a real-world science experience.
