Listen Harvey! We Still Need Our Listening Center!
My students need this mobile listening cart to get the full literacy experience. It is vital that kindergarten age students listen to books on tape or cd in an organized manner.

My Students
Sixty percent of the students in my class lost their home and belongings in hurricane Harvey AND their classroom. We began school a month later than planned at a local church in town.
My students are brave and adaptable .
These are just a few words I could use to describe them. They have embraced this year and have made the best out of a traumatic time in their short little lives. I cannot say enough good things about this sweet little class.
My Project
Before Hurricane Harvey, students would listen to books on CD at a beautiful double desk with storage space and a place to hang their headphones in our old classroom.
Now that Hurricane Harvey took those luxuries from us, we need a new listening area.
I have a CD player in the room now. It sits on the floor along with the children. They trip over the headphone cords and stumble over the player itself.
This new cart would allow for each student to have boundaries and an organized area to listen to books on CD. This is a vital part of their kindergarten literacy experience.
