My Students

My students all possess different ability levels and styles of learning. Our students come from low income homes, with few resources available to them. Some students struggle just to get to school every day with the supplies they need. We have students who come from many different family types and levels of family support. I want to fuel their curiosity for reading by giving them more opportunities to use and integrate technology and other useful teaching tools.

The ultimate goal is to ensure all students are receiving the best education they can, and also to help them obtain the tools they need to succeed.

Our students are hard workers and are always up for a challenge. Technology is a big part of their daily lives, which is why I want to enhance my classroom with new technology and other helpful resources.

My Project

My students need sturdy and reliable headphones that they can use everyday in the classroom. Listening to reading is an important part of their daily literacy work. Hearing fluent readers helps them in becoming a stronger reader. I have personally bought my class headphones from the Dollar Tree, but they just do not last!

In order for my students to use the online intervention program that will help them make the reading gains they need, they need working and reliable headphones!

Without these headphones, they struggle to be able to use the program that our school offers that has been proven to increase reading abilities in students who get their time.
