Kindergarten is a magical time in our young students’ lives. Our classroom is filled with enthusiastic, kind, and thoughtful learners with an eagerness to learn. Our school in upstate New York has a diverse population with students coming from all walks of life. We are nestled in the heart of a college town and are fortunate enough to have the assistance of college students in our classrooms. The help these students provide in the classroom is tremendous. They are game changers at our elementary school.
We emphasize leading with love in all student activities.
Our classroom dream team is comprised of a wonderful aide and students from multiple colleges. Our aide engages the students through music and rhyme; he plays his guitar during snack and transition times. While one of our “college angels” is teaching us how to partner swing dance. The students absolutely love swing dancing! Our goal is to make our daily routine as engaging and exciting as possible for our young learners and incorporate different outlets to do so.
My Project
The addition of quality headphones will make a huge difference in the focus that children will have in the activity they are using with the iPads. They will be able to get headphones that don't need teachers to adjust to work properly.
Independence is key when the children have access to iPads for learning.
Quality headphones will inspire those who need to work and focus on specific kindergarten skills .
The children's attention will be on the activity they have chosen in a classroom kindergarten app.
Help in funding this necessary tool will certainly bring peace to playful learning with a technology tool.
