My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher in Utah who believes learning is important and who loves teaching. My students are very eager to learn. I believe it is important to allow students to be creative in their learning and showing what they know, so they will enjoy it more.

Curious, creative, knowledge seekers describe my students.

My students have different backgrounds and learning styles. My students have had a variety of learning over the past two years because of Covid-19. Some not doing any academic learning over last year, due to lack of resources or someone available to help with their learning. Because of this, they need varying methods to help learning and to express what they know. For this reason, I am always looking to integrate resources to help my differing students learn.

My Project

I am requesting headphones and energy science supplies to increase engagement. These resources will help my students learn and be more captivated in our lessons.

The headphones will allow my students to listen and read without disturbing other students, or being distracted by noises around them.

This will help increase their reading and phonics foundational skills, that they may be behind on due to learning during Covid.

I have found that my students need more hands-on learning and more exciting lessons, especially in science, even more so during and after Covid. The snap circuits and supplies will allow my students to see how energy flows through paths. The wave springs will help them visualize the different types of waves. These are hard concepts to learn, without some hands-on visual learning.

The conversation starter dice will benefit my class, by helping students have conversations with others and learning partner talk. Children can use help learning communication skills.

These resources would enrich our learning in our class.
