Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are wonderful and always ready to learn. I teach in rural Eastern North Carolina. Each day is an experience with my little ones. They love coming to school and are eager to know all about our world.

Our school is an Title I school and all our children are living below the poverty level.

I want to be able to bring new experiences to my classroom. My kindergarten students will be ready to meet the world when they leave my class.

My Project

Our class needs headphones for reading and testing. My children love books and to listen to them on the computer. Every day, we go on the computer to listen to different adventures. We also test on the computer and my children need good headphones to be able to test well. Sometimes our headphones are not the best quality and either a child is complaining they can't hear the story or it isn't clear enough.

Having quality headphones that are sturdy would help my children.

They would be able to listen to stories and enjoy the readings everyday. These headphones would last so they would be something futures classes could also enjoy.
