Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are disadvantaged students coming from low income families. Despite the challenges they encounter, they are enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.
94% of my students come from low income families.
My classroom is the computer lab. All the students in school come to the computer lab once a week from pre-kinder through fifth grade. In the computer lab they use programs that help them reinforce their reading and math skills.
Most of these students do not have a computer at home so they are very excited and appreciative of the time they get to spend in the computer lab.
My Project
I am asking for 34 headphones for the students to use in the computer lab. We need headphones that are durable because of the high volume of enthusiastic students that come through the computer lab.The new headphones will be used in the computer lab to help the students to learn and improve their reading, math, and computer science skills.
All of the students will benefit because they all come to the computer lab once a week.
With your support of this project, the students will be able to concentrate on learning Istation, Education Galaxy, Study Island, Prodigy, and code.org. There will be less distractions and more learning.
