My Students

A community and a sense of belonging is exactly what my students experience when attending my classroom everyday. I teach eighteen four years olds who come to school for the first time very enthusiastic and ready to explore a rich, safe learning environment.

Excited and curious, the students of my class love to have "hands on" experiences, sing songs, draw, build, learn the letters of the alphabet and count.

These young minds deserve the best tools to further their education.

My Project

My students will benefit from a Listening Center that includes a CD player, headphones and books on CD's. Currently my students choose books from the library but can only enjoy the pictures. A Listening Center would expose students to fluid, expressive language where they can sit alone to enjoy a book or with up to four classmates.

A Listening Center is also a multi sensory way to enhance my student's experience of books and to exercise their imaginations.

What a way for my students to learn the joy that books can bring into their lives and to be able to learn new vocabulary.
