I am a 4th grade inclusion teacher. My focus for this proposal is for my special education students, although this equipment will be implemented and used for the entire class.

There are often times that I wished I could allow my students to listen to the leveled readers in our reading series on CD. Since it is impossible for me to read each of the leveled readers to each of the students, this would allow the students to hear the story come to life and work on fluency at the same time.

My students would greatly benefit from hearing someone else read to them. For some students, I am the only person they hear read to them. A listening station would give these students the opportunity to hear others read to them, while building their fluency.
