A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My fourth-grade students hold a special place in my heart. They are at the cusp of young adulthood, but still enjoy the simpler aspects of childhood. I see in them the desire to grow up, alongside a strong yearning to remain young.
I would like to provide "desk pet" incentives to students for behavior and work ethic in my classroom.
These small erasers are shaped like animals and can be customized by the individual student. Once students earn their desk pet, they are then able to earn fun accessories to store inside the pet's "habitat", the small acrylic container that stays on top of their desk.
To keep this project, and all of its many pieces, organized inside of my classroom, I would like to set up a "Pet Shop" within the requested organizer containers. This is an established classroom management strategy, and I would love to "work smarter, not harder", and purchase a Classroom Pets Bundle on Teachers Pay Teachers. This bundle includes all of the directions and signage that will excite students as we begin our classroom's "Pet Rescue Process"!
During the second half of the year, it is important to reimagine classroom management and provide students with a fresh approach. I am excited because I believe that desk pets will provide a new, exciting behavioral incentive!
